About the Speaker
Dr. Annalisa Enrile is a Clinical Professor at the USC School of Social Work and is a three degree Bruin from UCLA with a bachelors in Sociology, a Masters in Social Work and a Ph.D. in Social Welfare. Her dissertation is on Pilipina Adolescent Mental Health. Since 1997, she has done work fighting Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery in all its forms but especially as it exists in the Philippines. She fights on both sides of the Pacific for basic human rights and believes in the power of stories and the healing of connection.

Ray Obispo teaches US History and Sociology at Salem HS in Virginia Beach, Virginia. For the past 26 years, he has sponsored the Filipino American Culture Society at that school. Maria Inciong is the Director of Technology Solutions Alignment at Stanford University, Advisory Board Member of Stanford University’s PoC-IT (People of Color in Technology, pronounced as pocket), and founder and sponsor of Zoe Inciong Memorial Scholar Athlete Award. The scholarship is awarded to New Haven Unified School District’s graduating seniors of Pilipino descent who demonstrate the ability to participate in school athletics while carrying a rigorous academic workload.

Marlan Maralit’s an organizer by trade, fisher person by choice. Trekking rural Virginia with his fly fishing rod is his favorite hobby. He’s East Coast born & raised, but considers the few months he spent in Los Angeles California as an important time in his life. He currently works as a Senior Program Officer that solely represents faculty at institutions of higher learning. He’s looking forward to finding more opportunities for Asian Americans to work towards black liberation in 2021!!!
